One of the things that employers should be telling their employees when hiring them is the likelihood of firing them. They should give various reasons why they might fire an employee in order for the employees to be ready when the time comes. Companies do not have to fire because of a misconduct only, but lay offs are there as well, as we witnessed sometimes ago when the economic recession was felt in our country. Once an employee is fired and they saw it coming, they are able to take it quite positively and they can look for unemployment benefits apply for them and move on with their lives as if it was not a big deal. Its also an advantage to the company because in case they will need the employee back to the company, the employee will be willing to come back and work for the company with no hard feelings at all. Prior notice will even earn the employer a respect from his employees, even those who have not been laid off or fired and this is good for the company.
