On the eve of every year, the residents of Sydney flock into the heart of the city by the thousands to celebrate the arrival of the new year. The extravagant display of fireworks over the world famous Sydney Harbour Bridge brings people from all over the city, and indeed, tourists from all over the world, into the vantage points at the Rocks, Mrs. Macquaries chair, Blues Point, and more. However, after the celebrations are over, on the first day of the new year, the city sobers up to the mounds of garbage left all over the untidy streets of Sydney. Clean up crews work frantically to scoop up all the broken beer bottles, crushed cans, discarded food packaging, and other debris from the streets, before spraying down the streets with high pressure water hoses to make the city look acceptable again. Even sweeper hire companies were called into action. It is a shame that a city has to welcome the new year by ruining its world famous façade, simply because people are too lazy to take care of their surroundings. |

I am the artistic director of a budding advertising agency and although we are fairly new in the business we have a steadily increasing number of clients mainly because our ideas are fresh and innovative and we go out of our way to make sure that our clients are satisfied. This is the reason why I am always on the road because I want to make sure that even before the customer needs our services we are already there. I also do presentations personally especially for those accounts that have potential for expansion. Little did I know that my husband is already being paranoid because I am always out of the office, to the extent that he installed a GPS tracking system in my car so that he will know where I am anytime. I just learned about this from our common friend and when I confronted my husband about this he said that he was just concerned. I found his actions extremely offensive that I packed my things and left the house to have some time to think. |

For all motorists, getting protection is very important. Most of the accidents which take place in major roads do not miss a motor car, which is why you are advised to get legal protection for your motor car as well as your life. Many people who operate their own motors tend to ask if motoring legal protection is it worth it, and the answer they get straight from the legal authorities is that it is very much necessary. You can not be placing your life in danger, assuming that you will be very careful when driving your motor car or cycle because you might be involved in an accident with another car that has just gotten out of control. Besides, when you apply for legal protection, if anything happens to your motor cycle you will be refunded in terms of cash to go and purchase your motor car once again. Your life is also in good hands because you will have a complete health insurance cover for the time which you have indicated you need legal protection for both your life and your motor cycle or car. |

I moved internationally about a month ago. Never in my life did I think it would be this hard to pick up the pieces and move to a foreign country. Not only was it emotionally straining but it was mentally and physically straining as well. I'd moved before but only locally which involved vans, roof racks for vans, hiring local help etc. Moving internationally is something else though!
Air services do not want to help a person that is moving. All they are dependent upon are the size and weight of your baggages and how many baggages are you trying to take. My experience was completely difficult. First, airlines are using their strategy of weight to take you for a ride. Literally, suitcases these days weigh as much as you are able to take on the plane. It was a nightmare trying to take things out of the bags that I was willing to sacrifice before I got charged an insanely amount to bring with me. However, there are some moving services that offer to move your stuff across country! The only problem with that: is the horror stories that come along with those moving companies. It is not a 100% guarantee that your objects will make it there knowing the places that we have to drive through. One month ago, I began the ride of my life. Dealing with international moving companies and the airlines were no help. Therefore, I picked myself up and moved and have had to restablish myself once I got here. The move was well worth it though. I am surrounded by my family and not my possessions. |

Have you ever been to a cargo shipyard and wonder how they can locate the container van that holds your shipment from overseas? It’s downright perplexing seeing all these huge steel boxes piled one on top of the other yet the port man can determine which box is yours.
It all begins when your shipment is taken down from the vessel that transported it. A GPS device is attached to the cargo box and is loaded to a designated truck. The cargo box, depending on its size is loaded with other boxes either on 4 or 8 wheeler trucks. These trucks are also attached with a GPS device which enables your broker to trace which box went on which truck. As the trucks are moving they are being monitored from a satellite computer up to the point where they are unloaded. Once it is unloaded at its destination employees at the shipyard take hold of all the necessary paperwork including data taken from the GPS truck tracking system which tells them the time the cargo box arrived, when it was sent and from what destination it came from. |
