My favourite video game console would be Xbox. While it's not the most powerful or most innovative console out there, it has a lot of sentimental value to me, and at the time of its release it was ground-breaking. Of course, today I wouldn't buy an Xbox. If anything, I would probably go for Wii, thanks to it's ingenious controllers. But I won't do that, I'm no longer a dedicated player. Still, when I look back in time I can see that Xbox sitting below the tv and tempting with hours of joyous, mindless fun. It were the days when I first bonded with my best friends, coming over to each others houses and just wasting time in any possible way you can imagine. Playing Halo on splitscreen was one of the best. I guess if we had that Xbox still around, we would meet from time to time, just to play a little. And then maybe a little more. But it wasn't just about the game. Somehow, it was this little box that put us together in the same room for a ridiculous amount of time.

Shopping for wedding rings at the local pawnshops and jewelry stores in the area is kind of boring. I mean all of the rings they have on display are so barren and looked somewhat identical. How come the rings I found on the internet looked way more interesting? I was coerced by Jana to accompany her look for rings since her boyfriend of 3 years now turned fiance is out of town on business leaving her at the mercy of her friends to go ring shopping. Ever since she got engaged she has been on a rampage always going on impromptu activities and though it annoyed her friends in the end we relented. The strange man in the hidden house at the end of the road was a massive hoarder. He kept everything. Newspapers, plastic bottles and plastic bags especially. I decided to call to see him because although everyone in the village thought his home was an eyesore, I really wanted to meet him and talk to him. He was extremely mannerly and polite and spoke with such precision. I was saddened when I saw the distraught on his face. He so desperately wanted help. So I helped him. I'd worked in quite tough jobs in the past including oil tank installation, so felt I was suited to such a physical job. I rounded up the villagers and we cut down trees and took away tonnes of rubbish. With the yard clear we could tackle the house but what we saw shocked us to the core. His house had no floor. He had to climb stacks of paper to get around the house. There was one foot of space between the top of the pile of newspapers to the ceiling. I advised the gentleman that he would need to speak to a councillor because this was truly incredible. He could not part with these items yet he wanted to. So he made an appointment. Hopefully he will be calling on us to help clear out his house.

I've been pregnant twice, and let me tell you, it's not something that you get used to. Yes, you're giving life, you'll have a snuggly baby at the end, someone new to love, etc. But, the process of getting there is less than glamorous. OK, I appreciate that these days we have a lot of choice with things like maternitywear - for example, maternity tights and the like - but it's still a hard slog getting through those 9 months. It starts off with unrelenting nausea at 6 weeks that, if you're lucky, ends with vomiting. Otherwise you just have this unrelieved pukey feeling for at least the next 6 weeks. Your sense of smell will also go into hyperdrive and the scent of just about EVERYTHING will nauseate you. If you're especially unfortunate, like myself, you'll have it until the kid pops out. Then the nosebleeds and bleeding gums start up. Let us not forget about the emotional upheaval - you'll cry over everything, even if you've never been a cryer to begin with. As the pregnancy progresses, back pain, bloat and the uncomfortable feeling of a six pound human being growing in your uterus starts to make its impact. Did I love being pregnant? Not really. But I would do it all again in a heartbeat because my two children have made every second of pain and discomfort worth it. That said, the husband is getting a vasectomy next month, so the third time will not be the charm for me!

I've had a lot of experience with my local darlington dentists, and want to relay you one particular experience. I had developed severe toothache last year in right most upper teeth. It troubled me while chewing something. I went to the dentist who x-rayed my teeth, gave me few pills and asked me to come after three days as he has to remove the teeth by surgery. Pills were given to let the infection be over. After three days I went to the dentist for surgery. He let me lie down and opened my jaws as wide as possible. He first injected my gums and then took out the teeth. Immense bleeding started and cotton soaked in some anti infection liquid was applied. The surgery took 20 minutes, but painless because of injection already given by the doctor. I was told to eat no hard food for next two days. After almost one hour, I developed pain, but it was relieved by pain killer pills. This was my first experience of going to the doctor.
